I can't recall the last time we went to the gardens of Mill Creek Park other than in the morning or early afternoon. Today, though, we hopped in the car on a whim close to 4 p.m. (the day was sunny and rain was expected for the next several days, so we figured we'd better make hay while the sun was shining). These pretty "Jethro Tull" Coreopsis (ses???) were especially pretty.
