The Canada geese were wading along the shoreline of the Lily Pond at Mill Creek Park this afternoon, most likely hoping for handouts from visitors (not allowed, but people do it anyway). Suddenly, a couple appeared with their rather large dog; even though it was on a leash, I've never seen the geese run, jump and fly off the bank this fast. Even after they hit the water, they kept going until they were a fair distance away from that pooch!
