A little cooler today, but sunny, so off I went for a walk. What a wonderful surprise - the recent cold weather didn't destroy ALL the magnolia trees! I broke me rule to get this one, albeit with my phone; never setting foot on private property without permission. This property was vacated recently (and the tree was maybe 3 yards into the lawn), so I tromped in to get close. Shhhhh - don't tell anybody. Also snapped my favorite combination in our own yard - dandelions mixed with wild violets (right).
