Last Hurrah: June 10
Another scorcher and I slept too late to go for a walk comfortably. Instead, we headed to Mill Creek park to check out the flowers. Honestly, in all the years we've been going there I've never seen roses as gigantic, or as pretty colors, as are there now. We just missed the peonies, alas - this is one of just two I found still alive (barely). On the way home, we made our second inside-restaurant lunch since the COVID-19 pandemic started a year and a half ago (the first was a couple of days ago at Margherita's in Girard). Today we picked Quaker Steak & Lube; at just after 1 p.m., it was virtually empty so we felt relatively comfortable.
