Sunflower Surprise: Aug. 26
I haven't been out for a walk in several days (hence no daily photos) because the temperatures have reached the mid-80s by 11 in the morning and the humidity is awful. Today, I attempted a jaunt because it was still in the mid-70s around 10 and overcast and I'd had my morning coffee. All was well till the last 3/4 mile or so, when the sun popped out in full force and the already miserable humidity got more miserable. I made it back, but I sure was glad that our A/C was on when I came in the door. The surprise came when I checked the deck plant for watering and found this small sunflower growing in a small pot of what I thought was a green pepper plant that was dead.
