Granted, it doesn't take much to excite me after close to a year of not going much of anywhere, but today I had two things that made me very happy. First, the sun's out, and I got out for a walk even though it's still a bit below freezing. Can't say it felt warm, but that sunshine sure did feel good on what little of my face stuck out of my scarf! The best was yet to come: a new pair of shoes I ordered from Duluth Trading Co. at a substantial discount. Jack got a flannel-lined barn coat-type jacket, so he's happy too.
