Today was the annual Christmas party for The Business Journal, where I worked as managing editor for 14 years. Since then I've done work on a freelance basis, so they're kind enough to invite me and Jack to the parties. This year, the full-timers participated in a Secret Santa exchange - the best gift, by far, is this jacket made entirely from bubble wrap. The recipient is Lisa Solley, who joined the BJ not long ago. She's one of Jack's star students from years back, and I worked with her at the Tribune Chronicle and the local Area Agency on Aging 11. Fun party once again!
